The film Touch by Baltasar Kormákur has been selected for the shortlist for the 2025 Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
It therefore still has a chance to be nominated for an Oscar, and those nominations will be announced on January 17.
Touch is on the list with fourteen other films, but there will then be five of them nominated in January.

The film was a hit here as well as abroad, as it tells the story of Kristófer, an older man who is at a crossroads and is searching for answers to pressing questions from his past: What happened to the girl who disappeared from his life without a trace fifty years earlier?
The story stretches across the world and Kristófer's journey takes him across the globe. Along the way, he recalls happy memories from his summer in London in 1969.
