The activity in the eruption is fairly stable and does not appear to have particularly diminished overnight.

The lava is mainly coming out of three craters in the fissure and is flowing mostly to the west. It is also flowing to the north, but to a much lesser extent, according to Böðvar Sveinsson, a natural hazard specialist at the Icelandic Meteorological Office.

The lava appears to be flowing at the same speed as yesterday.

A northeasterly wind will blow pollution from the eruption over Grindavík and out to sea.
