There is an increased risk of landslides and rock falls, especially under steep slopes and waterways where water flows down the slopes and the soil has become very wet.
Ísafjörður is closed due to a mudslide that fell in Hestfjörður and also Dvergasteinsá River in Álftafjörður has become difficult and waterlogged and water flows over the road. A landslide fell onto a road and closes the second lane on Dynjandisheiði. Cleaning is underway, as stated on the website of the Road Administration.
