The detention of a man in connection with the death of a woman in her sixties in Breiðholt last week has been extended until November 28 on the basis of public interest.

This is stated in an announcement from the police in the capital area, but the man suspected of having caused the woman's death is her son.

Suspect in a murder case was just released from prison

The case was reported around midnight, and the response team immediately went to the scene in an apartment building in Breiðholt. CPR efforts were immediately started, but they were unsuccessful and the woman was pronounced dead. The man was arrested on the spot and has been in custody, which was supposed to expire today.
