If there is nothing else in the situation than to terminate the government cooperation and call for elections.
Doubts about the capacity of the government
The Parliamentary Party of the Independence Party held a meeting in Valhöll on Friday about the state of the government, and Benediktsson spoke to mbl.is after the meeting.
"We are discussing this situation because there are doubts about the administration's ability to finish the parliamentary affairs this winter. It's a serious issue and that's why we gathered here today."

The national meeting of the Left-Green Movement then decided that the Alþinging elections would take place this spring, but they should take place next fall. Svavarsdóttir has accepted the resolution.
