There was a buzz and atmosphere in Herjólfsdalur in the Westman Islands yesterday despite the boring weather.
This weekend is the biggest travelling weekend in Iceland with outdoors festivals galore, and the biggest one is, Þjóðhátíð, or the National Festival of the Westman Islands.
Una Torfa, Stuðmenn, Helgi Björns and FM95BLÖ performed at the vigil. Then Jökull Júlíusson, the singer in the band Kaleo was a secret guest.
After midnight GusGus and FM Belfast, among others, got on deck and played until the night.
