First responders searching for a person in the sea all night

Emergency responders are searching for a person who is believed to have gone into the sea at Örfirisey in Grandi in west Reykjavík.
Guðmundur Hreinsson, the supervisor of the fire department’s support unit in the capital area, confirms this in a conversation with mbl.is.
The call came to the Coast Guard about one o'clock last night and the search is still ongoing. The gender of the person is not known.
Divers are assisting in the search, as well as the helicopter crew of the Icelandic Coast Guard. A boat from the fire department is also used in the search.
This morning the involvement of the fire brigade in the capital area and the Coast Guard has been completed. The individual has not been found and the case is under investigation by the police.
