Keflavík Airport is almost empty now because all flights have been delayed due to the weather. mbl.is/Eggert Jóhannesson
There will be no air traffic at Keflavík Airport for the next few hours due to the weather. On the Isavia website you can see that the first scheduled arrival is at 17.55 and the first scheduled departure is at 19.35.
Guðjón Helgason, Isavia's information representative, says in an interview with mbl.is that the airport is almost empty at the moment.
He says that the weather control board met because of the weather and subsequently directed recommendations to the airlines that today's weather could turn out to be unsuitable for flights.
Helgason could not confirm whether flights were being canceled or just postponed. You can follow the status of flights on the Isavia website.
