Frost and a yellow warning tonight in the South
Temperatures have reached minus 20 degrees today in many places, including at Þingvellir and Reykir in Fnjóskadal, where minus 22 degrees Celcius have been recorded.
Today, northeast winds or variable 5-13 m/s and some snow showers in the north.
In the afternoon, the easterly wind is increasing and thickening up south-west Iceland, and it looks like it will be windy with snow or sleet in the south in the evening.
A yellow warning is in effect tonight in South Iceland due to a blizzard, especially under the Eyjafjöll mountains where 18-23 m/s and brisk winds are expected.
