A series of strong earthquakes

According to the first numbers from the Met Office, up to twenty earthquakes have been registered in less than two hours, since 18 am, that are 4 of magnitude or greater.

The largest earthquake that hit in the last hour was magnitude 4.9 and was measured at 18.20.

It should be noted that these are unreviewed results and the Met Office's estimates of the size of the earthquakes could change.
