Icelander arrested for an attack in Osaka
A 24-year-old Icelander has been arrested in Osaka, Japan, on suspicion of assaulting a 59-year-old taxi driver.
According to a story on japantoday.com, the incident took place on Tuesday last week and the man refused to pay about 3,000 yen, or about ISK 2,770, to the taxi driver.
The man then fled the cab and the cab driver also left the car. The man then punched the cab driver several times in the face.
Police say the Icelander was found after they reviewed security camera footage and footage taken by another taxi driver of the incident.
The Icelander has not commented on what happened since his arrest.
It also says that it is estimated that the injuries of the man will heal in about a week.
Published a video from the scene
The Japanese media just published a video of the Icelandic man, who is described as being named Oliver, in the local media. He is accused of attacking a taxi driver in Osaka, Japan.
He is said to be a 24-year-old Icelander.
It is reported that Olibver was getting out of a taxi in the Nisshiydogwa neighborhood and on a video he seems to attack the taxi driver before leaving.
With a fractured bone in the face
It’s said he’s both accused of robbery and assault. The video shows the beginning of the struggle between them. But the Icelander is said to have given the cab driver the most serious injury about 180 meters from where the video was shot. He repeatedly punched the man, which resulted in a broken bone under the cab driver’s eye.
