Tickets sold out in minutes

Tickets for two Laufey concerts sold out in Harpa Concerthall in Reykjavik in March. Ticket sales for the second concert began this morning and sold out in a span of a few minutes, with around 1600 seats available for each concert. Laufey is set to tour Europe in the new year to promote her recently released album, Bewitched.

The musician, 24, shot to stardom in 2020, and her celebrity has been rising ever since. The Icelandic-Chinese artist grew up playing the cello and piano and found inspiration through the music and voice of Ella Fitzgerald after reveling in her father's record collection.

In 2020, while still a student at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Laufey released her first mini-album, Street by Street, which reached the top of the Icelandic popular music chart. Her work has been performed around the world and has received several accolades, with Laufey becoming the most streamed jazz artist on Spotify, with 425 million streams.
