Mayor Dagur B. Eggertsson responds to Canadian psychologist, Jordan B. Peterson, on social media today.

The occasion is Peterson's comment to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's picture at the rainbow painted street in Reykjavík, but the Prime Minister was visiting Iceland for a meeting of the Nordic Prime Ministers this weekend.

Peterson says that Trudeau has now gone too far in celebrating diversity and virtue-decorating with his minions, and uses some choice words in his disapproval.

The mayor takes the defensive step, informing Peterson that in Reykjavík, the rainbow street is not a sign of virtue but of human rights for all, it is here to stay, just as human rights and respect for human rights.
