The European Council Summit in pictures
Now that the European world leaders have left after the two day Summit of the European Council in Harpa Concerthall, one of the biggest hosting production done in Iceland, here are some pictures from the summit, captured by the photographers of Morgunblaðið, mbl.is and AFP.
It was raining and quite windy in Reykjavik when the leaders were arriving.

Handshakes, hugs and kisses
Upon arriving to Harpa Concert Hall the leaders were welcomed by Katrín Jakobsdóttir, the Prime Minister of Iceland.
Jakobsdóttir is on good terms with many of the European leaders and some were given a hug, others just a handshake, while others were lucky enough to get a kiss on the cheek as well. Here is the fast version:

Emmanuel Macron the President of France used the early hours before the meeting on the second day to see the famous Icelandic waterfall Gullfoss and a glimpse of the visit was on Twitter.
... and the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel enjoyed a hot dog in Reykjavík's most famous hot dog stand, but back in the day President Bill Clinton of the United States got the same idea.
