Icelandair Airplane turned around over Baffin Island on Christmas Day
A passenger suffering from a heart attack was brought back to life by CPR aboard an Icelandair jet from Iceland to Seattle, USA, on the evening of Christmas Day.
The plane had crossed Greenland when the passenger became ill, but the passenger, according to Morgunblaðið, was an American man in his early twenties. The plane, which took off at about 17 PM, was over Baffin Island, located in the northernmost regions of Canada, when the incident happened.
The man was helped by a flight attendant and two doctors who were passengers on board, but the jet landed in the town of Iqaluit, Canada, where the passenger was taken for medical attention. The plane then left and continued on to the west coast of the United States, but the incident delayed its journey by two hours.
