All invited, except the disabled? is the title of a new accessibility campaign by Sjálfsbjörg, the national federation of physically disabled people, designed to raise awareness of the fact that without adequate accessibility, disabled people are excluded from taking part in life.

The campaign highlights, among other things, invitations to various events such as children's birthdays, job interviews and weddings, where disabled people are effectively denied participation because their access is not guaranteed.

“All of us are responsible for making our community accessible and we can all contribute towards that goal. For example, companies and individuals can go to Sjálfsbjörg and get help with an access audit and get recommendations for improvements,” says in an announcement from Sjálfsbjörg.

It also states that Sjálfsbjörg’s website provides information on accessible party venues as well as places suitable for all children for children's birthdays. It also points to the TravAble app, which shows accessible venues.
