The oldest twins in the history of Iceland

Hlaðgerður Snæbjörnsdóttir and Svanhildur Snæbjörnsdóttir are twins. They are celebrating their 100th birthay today. No Icelandic twins have reached the great age of becoming 100 years old before in this country so they are the oldest twins in the history of Iceland.

Have a good sense of humour 

The twin sisters have always been very close and they live close to each other. They have always been great booklovers and now they use the available technology and listen to the books. They say that memoirs are their favourite.

The twins are upbeat and have a good sense of humour. They felt the attention they've been getting on their 100th birthday perhaps a bit too much and are happy that the 100th birthday only comes once.
