Proposing a Tunnel for Part of Reykjanesbraut Road
A proposal, suggesting that part of Reykjanesbraut road will be in a tunnel, won a competition, held by the Municipality of Kópavogur, for the best idea for a crossing over the road and construction around it. Reykjanesbraut connects Reykjavík in the north and Kópavogur in the south.
The proposal suggests a totally different look of the Smárahverfi neighborhood in Kópavogur. It includes connections to environmentally friendly transportation to Reykjavík as well as to Keflavík International Airport.
