One of Iceland’s most expensive apartments has been sold to investor Jónas Hagan Guðmundsson, owner of the financial service company Dreisam ehf., mbl.is reports, quoting Viðskiptablaðið. Morgunblaðið reported last year that the asking price for the apartment was ISK 500 million (USD 3.9 million; EUR 3.5 million).

The top floor apartment is located in one of the apartment buildings on Bryggjugata street, Austurhöfn, by Reykjavík Harbor.

It measures 354 m2 (3,800 sq ft) and has as view of Reykjavík Harbor, Esja mountain and the ocean. It has two balconies and two parking spots. There are windows on three sides, providing ample light, and the ceiling is high.

Mbl.is reports that Jónas recently sold his property on Fjölnisvegur road, Reykjavík, for ISK 690 million (USD 5.3 million; EUR 4.8million).. The property is a three-story, 370-m2 (4,000-sq ft) single-family home, built in 1929. The buyer is Caroline Leonie Kellen, a German citizen.
