Earthquake of Magnitude 3.7
An earthquake of magnitude 3.7 hit the area northeast of Grímsey island, off the north coast of Iceland, shortly before noon, mbl.is reports. Its source was 12.5 km northeast of the island.
The quake occurred at 11:33 am, according to the Icelandic Met Office. Several aftershocks have followed, the largest one of magnitude 2.4.
