A cool graduation ceremony was taking place when Morgunblaðið photographer Árni Sæberg visited Kleifarvatn lake on the Reykjanes peninsula, Southwest Iceland, over the weekend. Andri Einarsson was there with a group of people who have been taking part in his cold therapy class.

His company, Andri Iceland, offers workshops and private sessions, focusing on cold therapy, power of the mind, breath work, and movement. The cold therapy classes are based on the so-called Wim Hof method and other techniques. Wim Hof, 60, is a Dutch extreme athlete, famous for his ability to withstand freezing temperatures.

According to Andri, for the two years he has offered the cold therapy training, people of all ages have used it to combat stress. The training takes place in cold water and ice baths. Thus, at 6° C (43° F), Kleifarvatn lake felt relatively comfortable to the graduates. No one in the group was reported getting cold feet.
