Couple on trial for abusing daughter and step-daughter

The principal court proceedings begin to day in Reykjanes in  the case of a couple suspected of severe abuse against their daughter and step daughter. 

Six witnesses will appear at court. 

They are also charged with committing the crimes whilst they made a third daughter watch. The man has been in prison since July and the woman spent two weeks in custody and was then released. 

They are also charged with possession of child pornography.
