Thirty-year-old Rúrik Gíslason, midfielder in the Iceland men's football team now has over one million Instagram followers. He only had 30 thousand followers before the World Cup. 

 Gíslason's following increased immediately after the Iceland- Argentina match. Many of his followers are Argentinian women who comment on his model-like good looks drawing comparisons to Brad Pitt.
