Man caught speeding on wrong half of the airport route put in jail
A man who caused an incredible amount of danger at Reykjanesbraut yesterday morning by driving at great speed on the wrong side of the road towards oncoming traffic is in police custody for one week for his reckless behaviour.
Cars driving had to swerve to avoid him and he damaged several vehicles also when he drove back into Hafnarfjörður. The man was speeding at 130 km per hour and is thought to have been under the influence of drugs.
Reykjanesbraut is the route between Reykjavik and Keflavik International Airport.
