Drunk Icelander runs berserk on a Caterpillar digger

 A drunk man who had run berserk driving a digger machine in South Iceland had to be stopped by police and his vehicle overturned. He was transported to a hospital in Reykjavik via helicopter. 

Police had received a phonecall that the man was driving around in a crazy manner in a Caterpillar digger vehicle weighing two tonnes near his home. Police tried to signal to the man to stop the vehicle but he did not respond. Police chased him and drove across the road to stop the vehicle with the above consequences. 

According to police the man posed danger to traffic due to his erratic driving behaviour. 

The man's injuries are not serious and he is recovering at hospital.
