Tourist fined for speeding at 140 km per hour

A tourist driving a car on Reykjanesbraut, the road between Keflavik International Airport and Reykjavik was stopped by police as he was doing a speed of 140 km per hour. The speed limit is 90 km per hour. 

The general speed limit for cars in Iceland is 50 km/hin urban areas, 80 km/h on rural gravel roads and 90 km/h on paved rural roads.
