Couple and their young child drown as their car plunges into ocean

 A car went off the pier at the ferry to Hrísey in North Iceland last night. The couple inside the vehicle and their young child drowned in the accident. 

Police in North East Iceland are interviewing witnesses and it is believed that the couple were intending to board the Hrísey ferry when their car somehow spun off the pier.  

The investigation continues.
