Thousands of Icelanders are marching down Laugavegur main shopping street in the memory of Birna Brjánsdóttir, murdered two weeks ago.
A minute of silence also took place at Arnarhóll in the city centre. Candles will be floated on Lake Tjörnin.
Over 10 thousand people are marching for Birna and police have closed off main streets to accommodate the crowds.
