Tourists in danger at Reykjavik lighthouse
A considerable number of tourists found themselves in great danger at the Grótta lighthouse in Seltjarnarnes, West Reykjavik when they failed to observe the incoming tide. Powerful waves washed over the people and one of them fell into the ocean.
All of them managed to scramble to land, unharmed.
The incident was witnessed by Icelander Pétur Jónsson who took the accompanying photographs.
