The Iceland Met Office has issued another storm warning. They wish to highlight the fact that afternoon runs of high resolution weather models indicate that the weather in North West and West Iceland tomorrow morning has worsened considerably since forecasts were issued this morning. 

Tonight a southeast winds, 18-25 m/s is forecasted in the northeast and east part of Iceland with heavy rain. Winds and precipitation decrease gradually after midnight, an tomorrow morning southwest 8-15 m/s and dry weather are expected in the east.

In the western half the forecast is southeast 13-18 m/s and rain in the South with increasing winds tonight. Southeast 18-25 m/s for a while this evening, but winds turning to southwest 15-23 m/s after midnight.

In North West Iceland from southern-Snæfellsnes to Eyjafjordur winds increase after midnight, becoming southwest 25 to 30 m/s and snow showers from early morning until noon. Along with this violent storm, snow and drifting snow is expected, making traveling conditions hazardous until after noon.
