Great skiing conditions on International Snow Day

Gott veður er til skíðaiðkun­ar víða um land í dag á alþjóðlega snjó­deg­in­um (World Snow Day). Mörg skíðasvæði bjóða upp á sér­staka dag­skrá og af­slætti.

There are plenty of activities scheduled at Iceland's various skiing areas which are all open today. Children under 15 years old can ski for free at Bláfjöll, near Reykjavik today.

Also at Bláfjöll, a DJ wll be spinning records between 2 and 4 pm and there's a free tour of the area with the Ullur cross country skiing club. 

At Hlíðarfjall, Akureyri, there's a treasure hunt at 12.30 and free hot chocolate for everyone. 

The skiing areas at Stafdalur, Tindastóll, Dalvík and Ísafjörður are also open, all offering something special for International Snow Day.
