Another earthquake in Bárðarbunga
An earthquake of 3.3 was detected in Bárðarbunga at 8.13 pm last night.
"It's basically the same that's been going on in the last few weeks," says Bryndís Ýr Gísladóttir at the Iceland Meterological Office. "We've had one to three quakes measuring over 3 on the scale every week."
She adds that possibly, magma is collecting under the caldera but that first and foremost the volcano is recovering from the last eruption and that the caldera is rising. Bárðarbunga is under surveillance 24 hours a day.
