Search on for man who fell into Selfoss river

An extensive search is now taking place by the river Ölfusá in Selfoss, South Iceland for a man who is believed to have fallen into the water. 

According to police dozens of search and rescue workers are searching by the river and the National Coastguard helicopter has flown over the area on several occasions using infrared cameras. 

The man was reported missing at 2.40 am when his car was found near the Selfoss church.
