Icy roads throughout Iceland this morning

Roads in all parts of the country are icy this morning and drivers are advised to take particular care.

Rain and snow fall and freezing temperatures have caused ice to form on many roads around Iceland, particularly mountain roads and passes.

Meteorologists forecast a mixed bad of weather for Iceland between now and Christmas, starting with blustery conditions today (although nothing like the big storm of last week) and including snow across the whole country before the big day.
