Mild weather here to stay?
After a record-breaking cold summer, Iceland appears now to be enjoying something of an ‘Indian summer’ – and things looks set to stay that way.
September so far has been relatively warm. For instance, temperatures in the Icelandic capital Reykjavik in early September were the 18th highest ever seen over the past 140 years.
Leading Icelandic meteorologists forecast no considerable drop in temperatures over the next ten days, with many parts of the country continuing to enjoy mild weather.
