Tourist suffering from hypothermia rescued
Rescue teams were called out at Landmannalaugar in the south central highlands today to aid a hiker suffering from hypothermia.
Another hiker, a woman, found the man cold and exhausted and called emergency services.
Rescue workers from the Landmannalaugar lodge arrived first on the scene to change his wet clothes and keep him warmn and are now accompanying him towards the National Coastguard Helicopter which will be transporting him to Reykjavik.
The weather in south Iceland has been stormy with heavy rain.
