Tourist drives car into ditch

A tourist travelling near Húsavík drove a car nose-down into a ditch by accident. Fortunately he was not hurt. There were no other passengers in the car.

The trail on which the driver was driviing is mostly not used and the ditch had been dug to supply hot and cold water to the industrial area at Bakki.

According to local police they do not expect further accidents in this ditch as the trail is not intended for general driving.
