Tymoshenko looks into Iceland renewables

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Tymoshenko, visited Iceland on Tuesday to explore the opportunities for her country in the field of renewable energy.

Tymoshenko visited the headquarters of Reykjavik Geothermal, where she discussed the possiblity of cooperation between Iceland and Ukraine in this field with CEO, Guðmundur Þóroddsson.

Tymoshenko is said to have enjoyed her visit and shown great interest in Icelandic successes in renewable energy, but no details are yet forthcoming as to how any possible cooperation might work.

Nuclear energy is currently the main source of energy in Ukraine, which also buys gas from Russia.
