"They were extremely sorry and there won't be any repercussions," says Gunnar Már Másson, the father of fifteen-year old Már, who is blind. Már's go-kart was stolen outside their home in Keflavik yesterday morning. The thieves returned the go-kart last night and were very remorseful.
"Már has had the go-kart for years and he was really sad when it was stolen," Másson explains. His neighbours managed to take a photograph of the perpetrators as they were driving the go-kart away. "They contacted us last night and were really sorry and wanted to return it. They returned the go-kart and had a chat with Már. It was a silly drunk prank and they were very remorseful. "
The vehicle was unfortunately broken when returned but the young men have promised to cover all the costs of repairing it. "Már joked with them that they must have had a good go-kart practice as they drove it all the way to Garður, a neighbouring town," his father adds.
