Storm warning for today and Saturday

A storm of around 20 m/s will hit Iceland at around noon today and tomorrow, Saturday, the weather will be even worse. The Iceland Met Office and the Icelandic Civil Protection have issued a storm warning and warn of possible flooding when the snow melts due to heavy rain and warmer temperatures. People are urged to reconsider travel plans this weekend. 

Rivers near Eyjafjallajökull, Mýrdalsjökull an Vatnajökull could flood and roads disturbed by mud slides or flooding.
