Dead body found in Reykjavik

A washed-up dead body has been found near Sæbraut in central Reykjavik.

Earlier this morning a heavy police, fire-brigade and ambulance presence was reported by mbl.is near the Sun Voyager sculpture on Sæbraut. Sigurbjörn Jónsson, Chief Duty Officer of the 5^th Division of the Greater Reykjavik Police, has confirmed to mbl.is that a washed-up dead body has been found.
