A red sun rises over Reykjavík

Recently, news of the blood moon swept the world. Pretty nice, but nothing compared to the red sun that rose over Reykjavík this morning.

The people of Reykjavík (and beyond) woke up to some amazing sights when the sun rose this morning. Sulphur dioxide pollution from the Holuhraun eruption has reached Reykjavík, causing the sun to look...well...amazing.

The pollution is not dangerous to humans, but people with underlying conditions, such as asthma, have been advised to stay indoors. Let's just hope no blood has been spilled this night. So, enjoy the show.
