Reykjavík is the safest city for tourists to visit according to the findings of the Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection Insurance Company.
The next safest cities were Copenhagen, Denmark and Montreal, Canada, with 29 cities worldwide on the list.
Berkshire Hathaway based its list of responses from travelers who visited these 29 cities, as well as the Economist's list of Safe Cities, GeoSure Global's indicator, and Numbeo's Crime Index.
The president of the insurance company said that although these are the safest cities, there may be problems, of course. "You never know what can happen when you're on a trip, from a flight delay and a lost bag to an illness," said Carol Mueller.
When it came to domestic travel, it turned out that traveling in the Netherlands, then Denmark and Iceland is the safest. Last year, Iceland was considered the safest.
