Due to filming, Krýsuvíkurvegur road on the Reykjanes peninsula, Southwest Iceland, will be closed today, tomorrow and half the day Wednesday, the Icelandic Road Administration has announced.

The production and service company TrueNorth  posted a statement on the travel industry Facebook page Bakland ferðaþjónustunnar, noting that the company will be in charge of a project in the area those days. They apologize for the inconvenience.

Most likely, what they’re referring to, according to mbl.is, is filming of the Netflix espionage action thriller Heart of Stone, directed by Tom Harper — the second largest film project ever in Iceland.

There are two major tourist attractions are in this area: Kleifarvatn lake and Krýsuvík geothermal area.

Earlier, it had been announced that due to the filming of Heart of Stone, there will be road closures in Reykjavík April 2-5.
