Two large earthquakes in Bárðarbunga
Two large earthquakes occurred in Bárðarbunga this morning. One of them measured 4.1 and the other 3.8.
Several aftershocks followed. The Iceland Met Office says there is no sign of volcanic unrest. The largest earthquake of the year occurred in Bárðarbunga on February 23rd measuring 4.2. In December however a quake occurred measuring 4.8.
