Storm causes damage in many parts of Iceland
The bad weather is now travelling north and south. Orange weather alerts are active for those areas. Mbl.is/Jónas Erlendsson
The storm which hit Iceland this morning has caused roof tiles and entire roofs to blow off in many towns and trees were uprooted. Rescue teams were hard at work especially in Vík in North Iceland and in the Westman Islands.
Winds in Vík went up to 32 metres per second. Orange alert is still active in North and East Iceland. Please check safetravel.is for details.
