Route no.1 closed and all domestic flights cancelled

The route no.1 between Hvolsvöllur in the South and Vík has been closed due to the storm and won't reopen until midnight. All internal flights are down.

The road through Skeiðarársandur, Öræfi and Höfn will probably close soon and Hellisheiði and Þrenglsi will probably close at 4 pm today.

A state of incertitude has been alerted in Kjalarnes.

A yellow weather warning has been issued for Reykjavik, South East Iceland and Faxaflói but in the central highlands there is an orange weather warning.
