Large earthquake in Bárðarbunga
An earthquake measuring 3.6 was detected at 7 this morning in the Bárðarbunga caldera.
No aftershocks have occurred and according to the Iceland Met Office there is no sign of volcanic eruption.
Bárðarbunga is a subglacial stratovolcano located underneath the ice cap of the Vatnajökull glacier. The last eruption in Bárðarbunga was in 2014 to 2015.
