The bridge over Ölfusá river, by Selfoss, South Iceland, is scheduled to reopen at noon today, three days ahead of schedule, according to Aron Bjarnason, division manager for the Icelandic Road Administration. The bridge has been closed for maintenance since Sunday, and a new asphalt surface has been installed.

Aron tells Morgunbaðið that the crew originally scheduled the reopening of the bridge for Monday, the 20th, based on a worst case scenario in terms of time needed for completion, but the whole operation went smoothly, and was well organized, allowing them to reopen the bridge today.
