Elliðarárdalur valley to be declared protected area?
The Elliðarárdalur valley in Reykjavik has a salmon river flowing through it and is a popular woodland area for walks and recreation. Now the friends of Elliðaárdalur valley society want to make the area a protected one.
The Reykjavik City Elections take place in eight days time. The society wishes to prevent buildings being constructed in the area and that the valley should become a protected area under nature conservation laws.
